The Bear Paw Arts Journal is currently closed for submissions. We will be open to submissions of creative work for Issue 3 during our annual May 1 through September 1, 2025, submission period.

Submitted work should be previously unpublished. Bear Paw Arts Journal asks for first-time rights and acknowledgement as the first place of publication. Published pieces will be archived on the website.

Simultaneous submissions are expected and welcome.

Cover Letter: For all submissions, please include a brief third-person bio (under 50 words).

Poetry: We are interested in all poetry, including formal and experimental verse. Please submit 3-5 poems in one attachment (.doc or .docx). We do not publish sexually explicit material.

Flash Fiction: We are interested in flash fiction pieces that are under 500 words. Please submit up to 3 pieces in one attachment (.doc or .docx). We do not publish sexually explicit material.

Micro Memoir: We are interested in micro memoir pieces that are under 500 words. Please submit up to 3 pieces in one attachment (.doc or .docx). We do not publish sexually explicit material.
